To add to their collection of Nova Scotia's natural history, the Museum of Natural History in Halifax acquired a replica Mastodon skeleton as the centrepiece to the new "Age of the Mastodon" exhibit.

My work to support this exhibit included creating the logo and branding, bilingual exhibit panels, artifact labels, and all advertising and social media elements.

Illustration created to show the landscape of Nova Scotia that a Mastodon would have roamed. Sections of this wide illustration were used to tie together each panel throughout the exhibit.

Examples of bilingual interpretive panels used in the exhibit. These large panels measured 40" wide x 70" high.

To illustrate both the thickness of the ice age ice and the timeline from then until now, I designed a large graphic measuring more than 20 feet long.

Placed at the beginning of the exhibit, the long panel allows visitors to literally walk through time. From modern day through the ice age, all the way to the Age of the Mastadon more than 80,000 years ago.
